Thanks Mate

Mine is being done by a mate he just needs the subframe sorting, top mount fitting, cvs and wiring which im hoping you'll be able to shed some light on. Taken ages so far. I didnt change the belt, what would a cam advance do?

I was told the belt interval was 40k?

Looking forward to your project thread, i await a detailed guide. Lol

Actually reading on the 406 coupe forum the belt interval is 80k or 8 years for normal driving or 96k for motorway driving Crazy

Can change the top mount to match the 406 one and you cut the cross member out turn it round then weld it back in its also advised to use the 406 pedal box so you can use the hydro clutch - means a bit of cutting and welding but easily done if you can weld

Basically you use all the bits from the 406 coupe and slot them into the 306 Wink

Yeah using the 406 pedal box and gear selector. With regards to the clutch, think we are doing the same as Adam. Extending the clutch fork and keeping the cable. Carl from Mech Repairs has been done like that.

Benn, live in the middle of Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Welshpool. Place called Four Crosses. If i listed that as my location dont think anyone would know where i am. Lol. Where in town are you?

Why are you using the 406 pedal box when you are using the 306 clutch mechanism. Doesn't make any sense at all?!

Oh and have you got a properly unlocked ECU or are you keeping the 406 immobiliser and chips?

After break 2 BE3, now I use a ML5T gearbox on my ZX.All the cluth mechanism is with cable. Used a push type clutch with inverted fork, weren't easy to make it work

The ML5T is a very strong gearbox.. but I already broke my 1st less than 1 month

maybe this guy can help you too

Probably not considering I clouted one of my nice coupe alloys at the top of the industrial estate this morning. Next time I will have to use the handbrake - chronic understeer at 5mph...

Yes the clutch - got to be the biggest headache.
