does anybody know the best sealer to seal the covers on the gti 6. i have tried hi lamar loc tite copper silicone, ford sump sealer and cannot get it to seal for the life of me!!

Just buy some covers with the seals still in place? Dunno

Or just replace the covers with none de sealed version ??

hiflow heads in scotland have reccomended wurth super rtv-silicone they say its 100% gaurenteed to seal.

Isn't tiger seal for use on bodywork?. Ive just used 'comma hi temp RTV' and that did the trick.

hi temp silicone sealer


most silicone off the shelf will be high temp


just make sure that the surfaces are very clean before

Another option is to make some....I'm waiting on the arrival of some 1.5mm cork to give it a go.
