Hiya mate,i would personally remove the whole mount. but looking at the FAQ it looks like that method would work too - just not a lot of space. but it's likely you'll face some sort of problem, it's just sod's law! the driveshaft can be a pain to take out as the bearing can become seized in the bracket. also you run the risk of sawing too far if you use the FAQ method. i guess it just depends on your level of skill and confidence. ________________________________________ Deepak Gohil |

On the 106 xsi I removed the bracket and had fun with a hot spanner to remove the mount. Luckily the powerflex ones come in two parts and are a peice of p*ss to insert. When my GRpN mount comes in a few days, I'm just paying the garage half hour labour to fit it! too cold to be working on a car outside on the weekends now! ________________________________________ Turbocharged Honda Integra Type R DC2 |

It can turn into a nightmare mate. Make sure you have access to another car just incase. Fairly straight forward tho, just alot can go wrong. You will need to get the new mount pressed in as its a ultra tight fit. ________________________________________ EX Bianca 6 owner,Now drives: Octavia vRS |

are the poweflex ones not the ones that come in 2 parts so that you dont have to take the mount off? we fitted group N's in not much time at all (but then the new mount was already pressed in )________________________________________ Ex-Black 6 - Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... I did it this way - and hammered in the smaller mount too p*ss easy mate just crack on, dont be scared to give the old mount some abuse, just be careful not to start cuting into the mounting plate with your hack saw ________________________________________ Team Peugeot Sport 308 GtiBlack T'99 Gti - may she rest in peace - written off in a shunt on the A329m |

Group N is hard rubberGroup A is usually solid As long as you're prepped and have the right tools it doesn't take long to do. But me and Mat (oecken) didn't have a socket big enough to get the hub nut off, so had to faff about removing the entire strut. I did one on a 205 which is simular and had to take the mount off as the replacement wasn't a powerflex one, in fact it comes from a Peugeot 405 I think, for some reason its listed seperately for about ________________________________________ Previous Peugeot - 2000(w)GTI-6, Me old China, Supercharged with working aircon! |
