I have a 306 XSi 2.0 16V Phase 2.

I have been told by my garage that I need a new alternator due to it "whining".

He said it is on its way out so should get a new one.

Well I have not bought one and was going to see if anyone could explain how to change it.

I'm not too experience with DIY so if it is a complicated or difficult job then I won't be able to do it myself.
