Bit of advice please..

I recently replaced the short sections of fuel hose in the engine bay, 8mm & 10mm, as the old ones were looking old & cracked. NB - the replacements came from H*lfords, not Plumbase or Screwfix! Razz

Unfortunately.. I now noticed on the back of the two packs it says "*not* for use with fuel injection systems" Doh Roll eyes

However, they look exactly the same construction as the old ones and on the outside they are marked FUEL HOSE 12 BAR which is easily enough?!

What could possibly make these not fit for purpose? Are they worried I'd use it on some 1000 BAR common rail diesel or something? Unsure

most likely not be up to the pressure or be resistant to fuel, i.e fuel will melt the pipe and burst, like what happened to a few users of this Forum after someone took the p*ss selling some "Braided Fuel Hose"....

confused me though as you say it IS marked 12 bar fuel hose? but the packaging says not?

I'm using the same hose Mike Yes

It's been on for about 10k miles now with no issues. I think they're just covering themselves against someone using it on high pressure diesel systems and the like.

As you say, the hose its self is marked as 12 bar and there is no way the standard pump (or even a medium range uprated one) could deliver that.
