Should there be something attached to the floor underneath the pedal to limit its travel?
All I seem to have is a screw sticking out

Hi guys, just a quick question regarding the accelerator pedal.Should there be something attached to the floor underneath the pedal to limit its travel? All I seem to have is a screw sticking out |

Thanks for the help mate. I just thought there might have been something that stops the pedal going into the carpet under full throttle.At the moment the pedal only stops when the cable tension is at its limit and im worried this will just lead to cable stretch over time. cheers |

yes it will, you need to back the cable off so that its not under tension but does open the throttle fully.________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

That is what I have done, although even when the cable is tensioned right with the pedal on the floor, I can still push it another 1 or 2mm into the carpet if I really wanted. It wont be a problem with normal driving I admit, but the occasional excited heavy foot will stretch the cable that little bit extra. It's not going to be a major problem, I was just wondering what that screw under the pedal was for thanks |

dont push too hard, it will go snap like mine did at santa pod. Was neck and neck with a clio williams and needed that bit more so pushed hard down into the carpet and it snapped lol. shoe lace to get me home. ________________________________________ 309 GTi6-T |
