Hey guys 1st of all thanks for the great info u provide via this great forum.

I've found as i write on the subject a 2002 2.0lt xsara engine (167)with a 5gearbox, with only 40.000km done. I have a 306 1996' which was 1.4 but i put a 1.8 16v(xu7jp)2 years ago. The ecu of the xsara engine is with 3 stacks of cables (:S sorry i don't know the terminology in english) and not one stack as on my current 1.8 engine.

1st) Willi have any problems and do i need to do something specific to put the engine and electrics on, or it's a simple plug n play as was with my 1.8? I currently don;t have electric windows electric keys or anything, it's a standard model of 306.

2) This ecu is able to be programmed in order to fit a 4throttle body manifold?

Thanks for your time and sorry for the lack of "terminology".

You can't use that wiring to run the engine, or rather it will be very very hard to do.

If you got a loom + ecu from a GTI6/167 S16 or an early Xsara you could run it.

So basically i can use this 2002 xsara engine but i have to fit an earlier ecu and cables-loom. If i get it right. THat is very interesting if it applies, The earlier loom and Ecu will go fine on this engine you think or there are things that must be added or changed? The dealer that has it has like tons of spare looms from gtis (i hope he has ecus too)
Sorry for the exteded questions guys, i wasn't aware about these issues.
