Ok so im talking about the little orange button at the bottom of the front dashboard (one next to hazard lights button) which supposedly is used to demist the windows....??

When i press mine in it doesnt stay in and only lights up briefly when you press it in, it clicks but comes straight back out again...

My question is, is it supposed to stay pressed in and do its thing and if so, presumably mine is broken??

Cheers for any help in advance!

I thought the button should stay 'pressed in' and demist the windows when you push it though? :S

No, it comes back out again, but should stay lit until it stops working. Mine just clicks, lights up briefly then stops working.

It only does the rear screen.
Even when 'on', the switch returns to its original place. Turn it on when you're lights are - mine glows EVER SO slightly brighter than the 'back light' when on.

If it does'nt stay lit up after you press it in, around 12mins i think (i can't remember exactly) then theres a chance you will need to replace the relay in the fuse box area.

Positive on mine - no electrics to the mirror itself, but sure there is wiring to that area.
