God damn those french engineers!

Decided tonight that it was time to change the last remaining engine mount (Lower - Group N), Jacked the car up, removed the drivers side shaft, removed the bolts holding the engine mount mounting in, applied the pri bar to lever it off and to my horror....

Drip.....Drip....Drip....Trickle....

I've only gone and fractured the most stupidest placed coolant hose ever (small, maybe 4inch long? near the exhaust manifold).

As if it wasn't enough ball ache taking the shaft out.

So now i'm carless untill tomorrow night when i can pick up a replacement hose.

What should of been a simple job has turned into a nightmare!

Shame really as the car is mechanically sound and never once broken down, all the electrics work (excluding the aircon of corse). I know it was my fault but why do they make working on a car so damn difficult!??!

Now, can i just use a normal piece of hose to replace this with?

And also will the car be ok resting on 2 engine mounts? The car's at a freinds in his super duper garage so i cant get to it to put the jack underneth. (only just remembered about the engine not being supported)

I knew god would punish me today if i killed that damn spider! Dry

Rant over!

engine will be fine on the 2 upper mounts.
i would recommend getting the hose from peugeot as it will be the right size and less hassle to fit (hopefully)
looks like god decided to give me a break and take it out on you Razz

i changed the pipe and the tank gasket as i thought i had a tiny leak there that i could smell burning on the manifold.

No suprise there really......'we dont have one on the shelf, however we can get you one in for friday morning'.....peugeot...useless. They've allways let me down when needing parts for the 6. Surely they'd have some 90's stock kicking around somewhere in the back lol

All sorted now.

Used a standard piece of hose with 2 hose clips either end.

The car feels completley different with the lower mount now changed but eff me....What a job!
