Alright lads, Right ive got a 1998 306 gti 6 and im putting a new engine in next weekend, the engine is out of my old 1998 citroen xsara vts. I am a reasonable diy mechanic and im just wanting any advice. Im prety sure everything is the same except the gear box (im using the original 6 speed box)Any help would be goodcheers lads ________________________________________ mark stewart |

You'll need to use the 306 thermostat housing with the extra 2 sensors & also the 306 exhaust manifold (the VTS has a different coupling to the downpipe).There could be other areas of difference-I'm sure someone here will know. Take off the Citroen logo on the inlet manifold ________________________________________ S Reg Diablo standardsSpec SORNEDR Reg Nile standard spec written off then repaired X Reg Astor in need of TLC R Reg Nile to restore Set of Lions to fit. |

Correct for a later (Mk 2) VTS but this is an early one so the manifold and temperature sensors are the same as the 306 ones. ________________________________________ Rich |
