Will a XSI driveshaft fit a 6?

going to use your thread for my question! - i'll need a set of shafts for my 306, 's16 engine + 5spd xsi box, out of interest will any old lot do? are any uprated worth putting in at a similar cost to the 306 2nd hand ones?! (johnnie / anyone??)

on a stock engine no, they are certainly strong enough if they are in good condition.

anything with ABS off an XU or XUD engined 306 will do the trick, uncertain if there was a different number of ABS ring teeth to the usual 29T.

i was under the impression the six shafts were different, thus i couldn't get a set off a trashed six as of the longer box

i'll stick to xsi's and hdi's anyway

Have a look at the driveshaft book i posted up a few months ago, tells you all the sizes from the pug range.

The dimma was originally an s16, it now has a gti6 engine in it with the same driveshafts

Remember, the end if the box is the only extended bit, not the diff area Smile

Does the 306 and 205 gti driveshafts use wasers behind the hub nuts at all or do the nuts go bareface onto the bearings?

From what i remember they do its just i cant seem to find them lol.
