recently there has been a squealing noise coming from the cambelt area but it only seems to be as loud in the mornings or when i first start the car after its sat for the night etc

any ideas?

Could be the aux belt? Mine's doing the same thing, think it's a pulley on its way out

i thought it might be that but the sound defo seems to be coming from cambelt area
both belts were replaced 2.5k - 3k miles ago

thats strange, mine just started doing it but its the aux belt. only does it on tick over, as soon as it goes about 1k it stops. it only started doing it this morning after alot of rain over the last couple of days. any ideas?

its always whined abit since the belts were changed i had it changed abit an the whine got much quieter
the whine usually gets louder around 2k revs but recently its this funny squeal in the mornings etc which then goes away

any other ideas, happens any time of the day if the car has been sat for awhile happens about 1.5k revs then goes away an the lower whine noise can be heard

my old 6 done the ezactly the same thing, i changed all the tensoiners and sorted it out as my aux belt wos 4k new

checked receipt for the mileage was about 3-4k miles ago everything was changed, cambelt kit and aux belt
