ok so after huming and arrr'ing over a 6 or a rallye i bought a damaged 6 because i cant live without electric windows! ha but seriously the car only needs a new head gasket and thats it minus some body work but before i rip it open to just put a gasket in while im there what options do i have to make my 6 a monster i previously owned a 2.2 Vtec honda prelude and i need that kind ov power or more to keep me satisfied i was thinking ov faster road cams and pistons also throttle bodies and a re-map ECU but i still dont think this will give me what i want |

Unless you did something wild to the Prelude the GTi6 should be about the same. I used to regularly hand one its arse around here in the rallye. Anyway its all in here mate already - just read up on it. ________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

The 306 is more of a handling car than a drag car, upgrade or refresh suspension parts and bushes, a decent set of brake pads and some good tyres. Practise late braking and cornering.Engine wise, it's pretty good as standard. Uprated cams may need new pistons, there is very little clearance. Low boost supercharger is very effective. ________________________________________ Spanner Monkeys Monkey SpannerForum Search Clicky |

i agree with the handeling my old 1.6 never failed me i was thinking about a set of V-max coilovers but im not sure if they be worth it and what tyres do you recomend as i have been looking for a good set for my 16's and i was thinking ov 40mm lowering or do i need to go further? in my town there is also a 306 D with a dump valve and its stupidly fast i was in my friends mk3 astra gsi and we got hammerd! |

Unless you are tracking or racing the Bilstein B4 dampers and Eibach 30-40mm drop springs are hard to beat. The rear tortion bars will need lowering as well, which can be a pain.Eagle F1's, Michelin Pilot Exacto 2, Falken, Yokohamas, or the popular Toyo T1R are all good. If your on 16's you'll need to run 45 profile to keep the acceleration up. ________________________________________ Spanner Monkeys Monkey SpannerForum Search Clicky |

Demon Tweeks have registered users on here so might be worth asking one of them about them. To be fair fella, its up to you who you buy them off. You should be asking for a discount as a matter of course and searching the internet, not just taking the first price you come across.________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

if your 6 is standard then i woudl concentrate on other areas other than just engine, you will need a decent suspensions set up, brakes and tyres for a start. get all that done then look into doing engine mods, but you got your pants pulled down on the springs. cheapest i found was ________________________________________ ph3 gti-6 china blue- mint conditionph2 gti-6 nile blue K.I.A dec 2010 |
