hi my mate has the 2.0 8v turbo engine in his 205 which a few of you may have seen at the pompey rr day.
Its been running ok but then he put an adjustable fuel pressure reg on, he set it for 3.5 bar and then the car started to mis-fire at 3k rpm.
He then took it off and it still misfired, so he got a new standard fuel pres reg, spark plugs new coils new injectors and its still doing it.
He has also checked icv and was told that it wont be the crank sensor or lamba.
Any one have any idea what else it might be.
Thanks
Ollie

has he got a fuel pump that can supply enough fuel? upping the pressure for a bit may have killed the standard one off? not sure what the standard pressure is tho?

should be a pipe on the top of the inlet beside the one that feeds the fuel reg

the pipe will feed the map sensor which is in the 8v turbo ecu make sure he aint split it or took it off by miss take

Has he got the right fuel reg? I was under the impression that when using a turbo you needed a rising rate fuel pressure regulator that increased fueling as boost rises, this is done by taking a pipe from the inlet manifold to the diapragm side of the regulator. I have an FSE reg and there is a small tail coming out of the top of it for use on boosted engines.

Make sure he reconnected all of the pipes when he changed the reg, and that everything that should have been there in the first place is still present.
