its f*cked, he should have checked the oil level before going on such a long trip.even if it was making a racket its perfectly possible it would make another 11 hours, though it would be beyond repair at the end of it, even if it hasn't thrown a rod through the block ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

Just like any other car, if you run them for 11 hours without oil in they will be f*cked. It's common sense whether you're 'new to it' or not. pompeygti wrote: i jus didnt think the bottem end could go over night Very likely if it's driven overnight with no oil in it. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. as said he should have check the oil, where in scotland or did he get lost, as its takes no where near that for me to get from Edinburgh to brighton ________________________________________ Ex-Black 6 - Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you. |

It's pretty much guaranteed to be f*cked if the oil light came on It's normally too late before you even see the oil light come on. This is 'cos the pressure switch is only 0.5 BAR, which is nothing. ________________________________________ Contact Details:rich@lynxpowerengineering.co.uk 07732 822546 |
