Spent today as Cwspellow's (Chris's)....... Again...

Miles Group N like mounts, (cheers miles for pressing it again)

Changed the Gearbox mount using the faq on here (Very easy Razz)

and then we did the lower mount, not so easy, but FAQ's are very good Thumbs up hardest part was getting the bolt hole lined up once the mounts itself was attached! mm by mm LOL

Now the engine hardly moves compared to before, put some fresh gearbox oil in (not that we had a choice) and gear changes seem to be ALOT smoother, and it also pulls better (It really did rock and shake before, now need to the top mount sorted Devil)

A Few pics, nothing interesting.

And No the car isnt resting on the toollbox! it just looks that way, (so the other half said) its just the caliper!

The old mount, amazing how different these are...

Old and New...

And then going to get some lunch we spotted these Chavy pugs "expensive machines"

Check out wing on the back Laugh my ass off

and some pretty chrome bonnet vents. Blink

and also this shed with "nice" twin pipes Whistle

Thanks again to chris and also the shed of wonders LOL

Mate, buy some f*cking axle stands!!!

Mat, you reckon they mounts make quite a difference then?? What about vibration in the cabin??

Seriously thinking about changing all the engine mounts again as i didn't notice as much of a difference as i expected when i stuck the new ones on. Thumbs up

do you have to get miles to press the new bearing in, or can you do it yourself with a bit of brut force?

ive got them and they make a serious differents to how the car drives, as for vibration it is a bit worse on tickover but once you are up and running it's fine, it's just a big shock when you first start it up after but you soon get used to it.LOL

made i big difference to mine, as i said, mine rocked like mad before, seriously, as for vibration, as other people have said before from 1 - 1.2 revs you notice it alot! but at least its not constantly like before, and gearbox is alot smoother, engine breaking its alot more efficient, and seems to pull a tad better Thumbs up

if your going to the RR day and havnt fitted any yet il show you what i mean.

would these also cause the aux belt set up to kind of vibrate-- well the tensioner bit, vibrate and bounce slightly on tickover
