It certainly does but on the flip side if there is any truth in this then maybe there may be some small economy gains if your just cruising. I cant see it working when your on the autobahn tho.Edit: From volvo forum v70radeFeb 18th, 2007, 17:53 I've got a pair of these fitted to my P3 V70R (I thought 6 in a box for a tenna, I'll give it a try)! It's difficult to be sure if they are making any realistic difference to my Mpg as there are so many other variables, they do however have a positive effect on throttle response. Mine is a ME7 car and before fitting the magnets it felt as though there was a dead spot at about 1/3 of the way down the pedal travel. The magnets definitely help this and temporarily removing them confirms their effect. A friend is running another pair of my magnets on his 1.4 Honda Civic (2000 MY, I think) and he covers a more consistent route; he reckons he's seen between 1 - 2 mpg improvement with the magnets. Although this is only about 2.5 - 5 %, not the 40 + % some of these magnet (or other device) suppliers claim. In Summary; if you've got a spare |

Edit: Thank f*ck. I almost got duped. Just read on: Great Gas Conspiracy Myth: Automakers and fuel suppliers are in collusion to keep us dependent on expensive gasoline and inefficient cars. There are many devices that one can use to cut your fuel consumption. They got a carbureted car and a fuel-injected car to test several types of devices. The cars were placed on a dynamometer, which allows the car to drive without moving anywhere. Test devices and additives: Fuel line magnets: working on the "principles of hydrodynamics," they are supposed to align the molecules for more efficient consumption. Acetone additive: supposed to make gasoline burn more efficiently 300mpg 'super' carburetor Hydrogen fuel cell generator: flammable hydrogen gas produced by electrolysis. Adam labeled it "Gasbuster: Stickin' it to the Man" They tested each car on the dynamometer at 35mph and 55mph with each 'device.' Carburetor car: * Baseline: 17mpg at 35mph and 25mpg at 55mph * Magnets: exactly the same as baseline busted * Acetone: 16.7mpg at 35mph and 24mpg at 55mph busted * Super carb: much worse than baseline, 12mpg at 35mph and 17.7mpg at 55mph busted Fuel-injected car * Baseline: 19mpg at 35mph and 27mpg at 55mph * Magnets: 18mpg at 35mph and 26mpg at 55mph busted * Acetone: 18mpg at 35mph and 26mpg at 55mph busted |

Dont listen to Fletch, his are rubbish, i make a set using a patented 'magnodraw' system which cleverly alters the makeup of your fuel doubling the octane level and therefore doubling the power potential of your engine However they are expensive thanks to the dilithium mini reactor so will set you back ________________________________________ Just Drive It |

I tried this on my Xsara. I got a magnet and cable tied it to the fuel line. When on the supply line the car did 55mpg but on the return it managed an incredible 68mpg - honestly. I've got some magnets on my fuel lines which allow you to used a mixture of horse urine and custard powder as fuel. The magnets alter the chemical structure of the custard powder (ratio of 3:1 and it bonds with the urine producing a volatile liquid. I get around 72mpg with this method and can destroy CTR's with ease. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans.
