Bled the coolant system earlier today due to the car overheating but now she seems to be ok. I still suspect that the head gasket may be on the way out but im not certain as of yet. However the weird thing is that above 4000rpm when you plant the throttle the car misfires repeatedly and will continue to miss while under alot of throttle. Does anyone have any idea that could help??

I would check the contact between the coilpacks and the top of the spark plugs, Sounds like a coilpack has worked loose.

Coilpack breaking down would be my guess. Yes
