Hey, my 6 has been doing some weird things over tha last week or so and now it has gotten to the point where i must do something about it. Usually the car is fine with it running perfectly however recently randomly the water temp gauge has been flying up into the red, only half of the radiator is warm so i guess its the themostat? Also getting no heat through the blowers, and also now when under load exceeding 3500rpm the engine misfires or feels like it is hunting for fuel, i know that this is linked to the green temp sensor but would just like to hear any ideas. Thanks.

Sounds like a head gasket failure to me. Have you tried bleeding the coolant system?
