right whats my engine code, cant seam to see it and where is it, as ordering up a head gasket set, and is it a xu10j4 or xu10j4rs or a xu10j4rs/rfs

its a 99 rallye

XU10J4RS. You're better off getting a genuine MLS gasket.

Whats the diffrence, i was thinking of getting a peugeot 1, or just a motor fctor 1, what is the diffrence apart from the price?

i'd go to peugeot with your chassis number and get a genuine one. At least you know it'll be the right part. They'll probably need to know if the cylinder head has been skimmed as there are a couple to choose from depending on thickness

No, Peugeot only supply the standard gasket which is suitable regardless of whether or not the head has been skimmed as long as it is still in tolerance.

The full engine code is XU10J4RS/RFS

All PSA engines have a three character designation for the engine to allow for different variants of the same engine, but as only one variant of the RS engine exists the RFS designation is often missed off the end.

As said, get a multi layer steel head gasket but the rest is fine to use from a normal gasket kit.

never noticed that before, every other gasket i order from peugeot can be ordered either as a repair gasket or std gasket? lol

how do you know how thigk a gasket you need tho?

and where do you get mls gaskets??
