As some of you will know i am doing a TB conversion and i have just realised that the vacum feed to the brake assist runs from the inlet manifold. How much does this do and what effects on the brakes would removing it have?Cheers guys ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |

It would make a noticeable difference at low RPM where the vacuum pump isn't producing much vacuum. You'd just need to put more pressure on the brake pedal. ________________________________________ Rich |

Cool cheers Rich. i have been reading daveyboys project thread and miles said pretty much the same thing and that the vac pump produces enough for the brakes with out the inlet feed. ________________________________________ Peugeot 306 GTi 6BMW 320 td compact M-sport 1967 Mini Cooper 1990 Jaguar XJR 4.0 |
