that whole part in the top of the pic wont come away from the carbon part

Even after undoing the 4 screws at each end?

The screws on my brother's were difficult to get out as it was second hand, but it came apart pretty easily after that. IIRC twisting it a bit helped get it free.

The one we had just slid off easily. Maybe a bit of WD40 on it might help.

right got it apart after beatin the sh*t out of it but now i need pics of how people have there BMCs fixed to the car (not intake side just where the strap with the holes is fixed to)
