my fans are constantly stuck on, trying to clean the connections, i think im suppose to remove the brown plug and clean it up (the one to the right of the rad) but for the life of me i cant disconnect it, what do you do?

check the connectors/sensors on the thermostat housing. The brown one on mine (air con one) was loose and fans were constantly on. Regarding the sensor on the radiator, are you just wanting to know how it disconnects? just seen some pictures for standard gti sensors and i dont have them. I suppose bacause it have a 406 engine i have 406 sensors etc.Would a air lock in the radiator cause the fans to say on? the car doesnt overheat at all. I dunno, got a day off on wednesday so Ill have to go to my garage and get it looked at! |
