Also, I have just stuffed some tea towels down the ports, would this be sufficient to protect it even if the manifold is off for a while?
Cheers

I have removed the manifold and was just wondering whether I need to block the detached fuel lines or if they are fine left hanging? Also, I have just stuffed some tea towels down the ports, would this be sufficient to protect it even if the manifold is off for a while? I'd plug the fuel lines for safety's sake and to prevent fuel evaporation. I normally use a couple of short M8 bolts with small cable ties to hold them in place.Tea towels in the ports will be fine if the bonnet will be down, otherwise use something waterproof like some gaffer / duck tape, etc. ________________________________________ Rich |

Ah great, I wanted to plug the lines but couldnt think of what to use - bolts, of course!Bonnett is off so I will sort some gaffa tape, should I just tape straight over the port? Cheers for the help mate Edit: should have mentioned the car is garaged so would it still need the tape? ________________________________________ Team 'unintentional rat look' |
