Hi guys, i recently bought a t16 engine to drop in the 306. It came out of a 306 so should have been a straight forward swap. That was until i got to all the coolant pipes which were bodged when the engine was previously fitted. Should the charge cooler have its own tank or should it be linked in with the engines coolant? also would any one know were the pipes are supposed to go as the ones i have are a right mess. Any help would be appriciated. Rob |

Charge cooler setup is seperate from the rest of the water system. Best bet is to get rid and run something like an EVO 7, 8 or 9 cooler or an RS500 item.________________________________________ FOR SALE205 Turbo Technics complete and 306 Rallye Race Build breaking. |

As said, I;d ditch it and use a good size intercooler which on the 306 there's loads of room for one________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |

The T16 had a charge cooler that was cooled by the engine coolant this was apparently to keep emissions down ? charge coolers are good for stealth and tend to lower turbo lag due to shorter pipe work than fmic |

Thanks for the info. Would like to upgrade to an intercooler at a later date but for the moment will have to stick with the charge cooler, any ideas on the piping? |
