Should be a little warmer than 75 too I'd have thought. Saying that it's still nothing to worry about. TBH it's probably not 75 anyway________________________________________ My old man wrote me a letter from prison once. My rallye does something similar - gauge reads 80-82 when driving but in traffic it gets to 100 quite quick the fan cuts in and it seems to come down abit but not a lot - when i drive of it goes back to 80 pretty quickley - I guess this is right?________________________________________ No more peugeotsSnap - no more RS clio Now Ph1 RS clio |

Even with air con on it should still go no lower than 80 when warmed up, as this is the temp that a working thermostat allows water through |

The stat maintains a temperature of ~80 degrees. If your gauge reads lower then I'd say either your gauge/and or sender is wrong or your stat is slightly wrong.Anyway, 75-80 degrees, what does it matter?? ________________________________________ My old man wrote me a letter from prison once. No chance! The heat inside the engine is far far greater than the cooling effect of a little air! ________________________________________ Rich |
