I wonder if anyone can suggest a solution to this...
I've had my car for 6 months and all the time I've owned it, it has had a strange clutch judder when pulling away from stand still (or from rolling speed).
The judder can be felt through the steering wheel and excites the dashboard. It only occurs when pulling away from stand still or slow rolling speed, it's no problem when changing gear (as expected I guess). It's worse on hill starts where you need to slip the clutch a bit more than on flat.
I've changed the gearbox mount, the lower mount, and put a bung in the top mount and it did not fix it. I've had someone in the car replicating the judder whilst I stand outside feeling the engine movement, and there is not a great deal of movement.
I have had driveshafts replaced and it did not fix it.
I have changed the clutch cable and it did not fix it (but made the clutch much lighter effort ).
It's not so much of a concern for me as it can be driven around by pulling away with slightly higher revs. And once it's moving it's not a concern at all. The clutch does not slip at all. However I might be selling the car soon, so would like to know if there is some quick fix could solve it (I'm hoping it's not a new clutch / re-face the flywheel job!).
Any comments / suggestions welcomed!
Much appreciated, Russell.
