Try some easy start if you have some, if it starts for a few seconds and stops again its a fueling problem. If it wont fire at all more likely an ignition/spark issue.________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. I sell new and used welding equipment in the Hampshire area. Check your battery connections and fuses, can you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn on the ignition?________________________________________ R H Davey Welding Supplies. Yea put easy start in it or not!!!! IF you have just put petrol in it I would look at that first take the hose off to your fual rail then see if it is throaty if it is there is water in the petrol you will need to drain it off and get more from some where ells if that not it I would make sure you are getting a spark if not take the crank sensor out and see what nick it is in that and the cam one but do not put EASY START NEAR YOUR ENGINE MATE daveyboy has a good point the fuse is under the bonnet in the black box it is a 15amp blue one ________________________________________ Team Black Rallye |

Well first, is your fuel pump priming? If you've got a prime then you can rule out inertia switch, not that it's been mentioned, and and fuses relating to the pump. Then you need to check the supply of fuel, but that won't be it. If you filled up with water it would still start and run for atleast 10-15 seconds while it used the fuel in the lines. I'd guess an electrical fault. So check the inertia hasn't tripped then check your getting spark and fuel, If your getting that then you shouldn't have a problem. If not, check something hasn't popped off and make sure your earth straps and battery cable are tight as mentioned above. Also as mentioned crank sensor. Edit: In fact, if it didn't start at all, even for a few seconds, you can forget the inertia switch, as it would STILL run for a few seconds. It musn't have a spark. So that' either no signal from the crank position sensor or a problem with your immobiliser, or you may have blown the double relay ________________________________________ 1990 Cherry Red 205 Gti-62000 Mitsubishi Galant V6 |

Dam, i hate it when this happens.Have you tried rubbing the bonnet in a LOVINGLY FASHION i find that helps. I remember this one time right that i didn't rub her bonnet like, and i went to drive home. Then she decided that she didn't like the non attntion i was giving her. So she fell over ________________________________________ Life is a lie. The only certainty of which is death.
