hi, im just wondering what this plug/sensor is for, its behind the starter motor on the block, and i dont think would be visable at all without the manifold and starter off!!
i cant recall removing a plug from it, and i cant see any wiring plugs in the engine bay that will fit it:

thanks welsh, so basicaly i have removed a plug/loom from here and forgot!!
there seems to be another similair looking one a bit further over towards the cambelt end

nope, most later 6's don't have a wire for it, and yes there is an identical one next to the oil filter.

funny that rather than waste money developing a part and blanking off the hole they just carried on fitting the old sensor Laugh

na, youv not forgot one, my 6 is the same, looks like iv 4 got to replace plug, but there isnt one... its french remember.

Ph1s had the oil pressure switch there and a oil pressure level sender in the hole nearer the cam belt. On the Ph2/3, they blanked off the one nearer the fly and put the oil pressure switch in the one near the belt.

On mine there's 2 oil pressure switches, the one pictured above is the one not used, it's as if they used a sensor to block hole
