I have just bought a couple of bearings for my strut tops as they are cracking my question is as i'm just changinng the bearings do i need to remove the mount (I mean compress spting etc) to get to the bearing to is it on the very top? |

yup, slacken the nut on the top before you dismantle them off the car as its easier to do so when they're under tension (just loosen till the nyloc bit is clear of the thread)fit the compressors and wind them up as far as you can, then drop the hub carrier off the bottom of the strut (use 8mm sump plug key to open up the clamp) undo the 3 13mm bolts and out it comes. I always chuck more grease in the bearings before fitting depending on if they come apart easily enough as there's hardly ever enough in them. ________________________________________ need a part number? get on here - http://public.servicebox.peugeot.comBring on the Trumpets. |

okay where abouts is the bearing situated on the mount its self?The bearing i have got are tight how to i get them a part to put more greese in? |

If you turn the mount upside down, you should see the bearing |

The bearing sits on the underside of the mount between the mount and the top spring pan. ________________________________________ You feed beefburgers to swans. I may have been speeding Mr Policeman but [a] I live for the 306 and [b] did you see that dog? omfg |
