I know it's been covered but couldn't find a definitive answer

Im currently getting
20-22mpg round town and 33mpg on a run 70-80, seem ok?

You should get about that on the motorway. I don't know about around town as I'm on the motorway every weekday to go to work.

Thats fine then you hear people stating 500miles from a tank on the run etc

One problem in mine is I reach halfway on the gauge after only 20-25litres

indeed, on a run you will see a lot more MPG, especially if you keep the revs down, i.e don't cruise at 70-80...

Just out of interest what is achievable at 60mph on a run, only we occasionally drive to the south of France with the family so no need to rush

I've posted getting 500 miles out of a tank while taking it easy and not getting held up by travelling at off-peak times but get about 33 mpg on the daily commute which is mainly motorway.

i normally see around 350 to 400 miles on a full tank if im lucky thats a bit of steady and a bit of lead foot
