i think my suspension feels a bit loose ,by that i mean too much body roll ? carnt realt chuck it about i dont have any confidence in the car Sad ,do u think replacing the shocks with new standerd ones will make any difference as they are new ? or do i get an 40mm drop with uprated shocks ? i just dont want to compromise the ride too much Dunno

decent treads = NOT toyo's.

please don't confuse a nice compliant ride and decent handling, with a bone breaking crashy bumpsteering ride.

Your own mind is your own worst enemy. you'll sometimes never be fully confident in your car untill you've pushed it. (btw if you crash i will not except liability)

because people buy 10 year old 306's that still have their factory fitted tyres and don't understand that tyres age and will not have the grip they came from the factory with! LOL

they really aren't that bad at all and do last bloody miles!

there is better though, BFG's Goodyear Uniroyal and Michelin to name a few.

I would check the rear arb plate bolts are in the arms, then check the front arb drop links are ok.
Then renew the shocks all round, the rear beam mounts and P bushes.

Simples!

My rear beam was shot along with the p-bushes. Had both of these sorted and it feels like a new car. Really precise giving loads of confidence Big grin.

I'm interested in this thread as I think my 6 needs the suspesion and relevant bushes etc renewed as they are very old.

What sort of price would i be looking to get all that done?

New shocks, springs, and bushes etc (what else might i need)?

Thanks in advance Thumbs up

Think the rear subframe mounts have a big effect on feel.
My trailing arm bearings are fine & am fairly sure the subframe mounts are contributing to unstable feel.

Oh rite, cheers, that sounds good, I think the difference will be pretty noticable when it's done, and idea of price at a garage? I don't need new shocks as mine are only a few months old

Here here about the Toyos.

I know this will upset people, but my 944 wiped the floor off my 306 in the corners, and that's on P6000s all round (Pug had Toyo T1-Rs up front and the original P6000s on the rear (they still were fine after 100k on them!).
