had a quick look through but couldnt find anything the problem i have is iam getting no reading at all whilst the car is running. when you first put the key in it sort of flickers up abit but as soon as started drops off, could this be a guage fault or maybe a sensor in the engine? where does it pick up the readings? oh and its a xsi |

Could be a fault with the sensor/dial.Hopefully your bottom end isn't about to seize AFAIK the sensor is below the far left hand intake port. Should be a grey sensor(could be wrong) Give the plug a wiggle its french! ________________________________________ 205 GTI6- Rebuilt engine, lightened flywheel, lightened pulley, 307 hdi brakes, Koni struts on gravel spec springs, 22mm TB's, 24mm ARB, Roll cage, Citreon ZX rear dampers, SL434's, Xsara box, Quickrack, Pipercross enclosed induction kit.Private work, not a prob |

white cylinder in the block is the culprit you should get a level reading when you turn the igniton and it should be showing pressure when running ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

is this a major problem/big job to fix?is it a common fault, and is the sensor expensive to replace? |

you can see where it is on my engine there, it'll be similar position on your engine i'd have thought. i haven't removed mine tbh but it can't be hardi haven't personally had issues with the sensor going though ________________________________________ 306 rallye reproduction decals (full sets/individual decals) | 306 b-pillar textured vinyl weatherstrips306 slam panel esso stickers | 306 yellow / orange / pension fund red side door badges gti6 inlet manifold badges | 306 rear boot badges (p2/p3) winner of Extraction of toys from prams with outstanding vigour award 2009 [source: gti6 owners club] |

(cable is different, could be the problem....) ________________________________________ XSi 8V -> S16 |

16v XSi's don;t have a oil pressure guage only the 8v ones did along with all phase 2 on GTi'6 which had the temp instead, XSi's just had the oil level________________________________________ 306 Rallye Sptint/Race Car, 205 CTI 1.9 8v to name a fewRoad, Track and Race/Rally car preparation to your personal requirements, Full Workshop & Diagnostic Facilities New and Second parts, from Plugs to Turbo's We now also carry out Routine Servicing www.pugracing.com & FB Page, https://www.facebook.com/PugRacing Ebay; http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Pug-Racing-Shop 2012/2013/2014/2019 Class Winners at Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb & Joint overall, Class record too along the way, |
