I think one is fully counterweighted other isn't, also what about bearing width on both?
The diesel crank is steel so is the one to use.

Ok cool, pretty much got my head round this so far. Is the GTI6 head best to use 'cos of the lumpier cams? (vs S16 head) Going to go for the crank conversion to begin with, then carbs and maybe cams. LSD will be appropriate at some point aswell after going through about 3 gearboxs ________________________________________ 205 GTI6- Rebuilt engine, lightened flywheel, lightened pulley, 307 hdi brakes, Koni struts on gravel spec springs, 22mm TB's, 24mm ARB, Roll cage, Citreon ZX rear dampers, SL434's, Xsara box, Quickrack, Pipercross enclosed induction kit.Private work, not a prob |
