Alright chaps, Money Pit was MOT'd not even 3 weeks ago and I became aware tonight that the brake light function is not working. Tail lights are still illuminating. Some turd brain decided to pull out in front of me today so I had to smash the brakes on, is it possible I've f*cked the pedal switch somehow? |

All 3 lights not functioning? If just the lower lights I would suspect maybe both of the 2nd bulb filaments are gone. I had one where the tail light worked but not the brake light and sure enough the 2nd filament was fried. ________________________________________ I'm Si btwNight Blue VW Golf GTD Bianca LBSC Rallye - Track/Road Slag Project Thread Sparkling Silver Mini Cooper D - Super Dooper - (The other half's wheels) |

sounds like the brake switch is jammed in causing the lights not to function some times it can make them stick on also ________________________________________ 306 GTi-6™ In Moonstone FTWTeam Speedline Turini PS3-Drew_o |

The switch is definitely stuck in and you might not need a new one just a bit of lube around the shaft should sort it after giving it a good tug ________________________________________ Pug fee`ver,Pick a Bogey, buy a Pug. contacts gone in the switch, had to replace one at work the other day on a 306. we checked ll the lights then sent it off for mot and they said it failed on no brake lights.... was like, i just literally checked them myself... switch had packed up. its not to hard to get out but getting new one in is a c**t!!2 ways i know of is either to drop down the steering column and go through there or if you got long arms like me then you can take out the drivers heater vent from the dash and reach all the way down there and its still a fiddle. ________________________________________ Black power baby!
