over the past week, twice , when starting my car both my display gauge needles for rpm and speed rose in tandem/parrallel to about 4500rpmish and 70-80 mph and have sat there for a uncomfortable amount of time....maybe 7-10 seconds.

engine seems a bit muted during this period......then they return and normal operation continues with no other problems.

needless to say, im not doing 4500rpm or 80mph whilst sat still

any ideas on what the fudge this issue could be?
