Small update ...Pic is looking from back box to middle box towards engine had my 2.5 exhaust modified in a earlier post to straight pipes and straight out the middle / back now .... In the picture you can see the sunk in ATL grey Alloy fuel protection box on the left of the Exhaust with Zircotec3 silver on the side of the box ...1inch gap I’ve welded a stainless steel bracket across the middle box and fixed it on two rubber bobbins to elementate to much movement ..the Engine doesn’t move anyway The Handbrake cables aren’t connected and are hanging in the picture Day666 has attached the following image: |

This is the back box looking from the middle box towards the rear of the car just in case it’s difficult to see ......Pipe is bent up around the rear beam to get the rear box up high off the floor ..As ROSS just said more Zircotec3 going around the beam tube and more on the tunnel and more on ATL alloy protection box to keep exhaust heat totally away ..exhaust is 2inches from the beam but it looks like it’s touching on this pic Day666 has attached the following image: |

You can see the rear box ...extra stainless brackets welded on and then fixed to rubber Bobbins also to elementate movement and extra safety in case one Red hanger gives up the go...The hole in the floor with cardboard covering above the rear box will be filled in ...it was where the old battery box was Day666 has attached the following image: |

I'd put a stainless or ally honeycomb heat shield between the exhaust and the fuel tank. The zircotec stuff isn't that great.________________________________________ Nothing to see here |

I’m sure your aware ...but for those that aren’t ...The Alloy box is only to protect the composite tank inside Adam....The tank that sits inside is a lot small ..ok with fuel expansion it will get closer m8 ... That Zircotec 3 is what they use on Boaing and Airbus tanks ...it has ceramic sandwich Adam ...you sure your not getting mixed up with Zircotec 1 And 2 that’s not Avaiation approved .... I know the silly price doesn’t make it automatically Great ...but I have this already in my Tunnel above the middle stainless box and the floor only just gets warm .... I do have to buy more though and make the area larger .... Remember also my original standard Plastic tank was above 2 inches away on the same but curved exhaust with only the standard fibre Heat shield and Heat always rises ...the tank case is to the side 1.5 inches Zircotec 3 reflects 85% of the heat ...not many can claim that |

So how did you get your DTA to work then afterwards, did the welding cause a earth spike somewhere and temporarily disable the fuel relay output?.Nice gearbox by the way, saw a sequential 306 box on Mikado Racing classifieds yesterday. 4500 Euro. |
