Nice updates mate. I've been toying with the idea of investing in a vacuum pump to make some composite parts for mine, could make some nice shrouds as you are then! ________________________________________ Goldie the track car. |

Thank you Stephen m8 I’ve got Tony Palfrey of Maxi Motorsport to make all my composite bits as not much I really need now and I just don’t have the time these days to make anything extra to sell and I don’t want to spend any money on bits eg Pumps / vacuum bags / resins / cloth etc It’s my first go at a mould and Tony said have a go and we can see how it comes out ...Si I am I do try to make / modify as much my self as possible = try is the correct word |

Big Thank you to (Tony Palfrey) of Maxi Motorsport for showing and helping me at his place to make off my diy moulds made of cardboard and duct tape .....that to be fair weren’t great One off ....Double skin composite ...front radiator cowling and top of radiator heat soak and air deflector off front cowling ... Touches all sides of Front rad and then lid angles off top to direct air under and into Jenveys / ITG airfilter behind Grill stopping hot air from all along the top of the rad rising up into Jenveys / ITG...or that’s the plan Day666 has attached the following image: |

Will have to try harder this time now lol Michael mine wouldn’t of been great if Tony wouldn’t of offered to help I really didn’t realise how messy and expensive it can be if you get it wrong I’m adding some thin alloy Folded Direction fins to it too ....it should totally send all the cold air to where I need it and stop the air getting around the sides of the Rad |

I’ve sadly not made any progress as I can only work on the driveway at the moment as I don’t have a garage so with the crappy weather it’s stopped progress but I’m aiming to crack on this week |

Been Busy today made a welded support tube to reinforce the middle section of the rear of the (front) bumper that I’ve been told snaps even in Carbon /Kevlar...the metal bent Tube then bolts to the Alloy base and then behind the no plate .....I also mixed some VM100 structural epoxy resin up and laid the Loose Carbon/ Kevlar into it ....in a nice mix ....I’ll cut the loose ends off later this week . Then before the Epoxy could dry .... I bolted down the metal support tube which also sat into Epoxy shaped recess and pressed everything down nice and compact ...fingers crossed Day666 has attached the following image: |

Then started to fit the rad cowling and finally the Rad heat soak lid sat on a few spots of dried Silicon I let dry from yesterday....just to absorb the vibration and give 2-3mm of gap ....It’s all on quick releases to be fitted later on I put a roll of 2 inch masking tape so you can see how the slant works ....with the bonnet closed the cold air should shoot up into the ITG / Jenveys at higher speed hopefully....
