Gday Guys, been trying to take my door trim off to replace my electric window motor. Taken out the two bigger screws (on the handle) and speaker but can't figure out how to get the window buttons or door handle off. Any tricks I might need? |

get a flat head under the unit and the outer case of the door handle slides to the left then you should be able to pop it off. ________________________________________ DO YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BUM FLUFF |

You need to take a third screw off at the top of the door near the mirror cover. Window switch pops out and its just the surround case thats pops off from around the handle. Then once thats off you need to go round the edges and pop the pins out. Takes 5mins once you know what bits to look for ________________________________________ Back to my phase 2 in black on the road.Phase 3 sold after spending fortune on it.. It wont be missed. From another thread I posted on Prise the window switch out gently trying not to mark. Remove the little bung up by the mirror covers. Then remove the speaker cover, clips in the corner of the horizontal and vertical be careful not to rip cover and speaker 3 screws Torx 15 iirc and disconnect connector. Then get a Torx 20 bit iirc and unscrew the three screws, One behind bung, other will be visible once switch disconnected and removed. Then there is a third up under the handle. Then remove the handle surround, this can be done either before or during removal but wear goggles if you leave it on. Once these have been removed you need to pull the clips from the bottom and sides. About 6-8 in all pulling outwards and lifting. This will if the surround has not been removed see it fly towards you, hence the goggles. You then need to lift it off the channel at the top of the door carefully making sure all looms and the lock pin have passed through the holes in the card. The underneath Torx bolt is a pain, shine a light up first as sometimes these aren't always still with the car. ________________________________________ Black X Reg PIII.VGTi 6 A4212 pt 1 A4212 pt 2 Searching the streets of Bristol for 1.36p/day.Joint Kent Leader |

Here is a random old thread I've found to revive for the hell of it, or as per another thread - I've "Kiwi-ed" it. ________________________________________ Cherry Rallye SOLD |
